nice, but heavy January 17, 2010 lightstream 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm amazed the packaging held together.
I ordered these and a set of five pound weights at the same time. I should have just gotten the five pounders and waited on the ten. They're heavier than I thought they would be. Now that I have them I'll use them for some of the exercises but not all. Not for a while at least.
The finish on them is good for gripping, not slippery. The weights have a flat spot on each side to keep them from rolling off the table onto your foot. nice touch.
it works December 4, 2009 Abel Wu Been using it to work out everyday. The handle is slightly more thick than I would like. The surface is not perfectly polished. But hey, it is just weight, as long as I can hold it and move it around, i am happy.
Great for those who are getting back to exercising October 26, 2009 Anime Artist Gundam Fan I used to work out on a daily basis (3x a week), but then due to an accident, I wasn't allowed to work out for 6 & 1/2 months. Sometime after my recovery, I searched for a pair of dumb bells that was a great deal. The Valeo 10 lb Neoprene was what I decided to purchase. The protective cover gives you a comfortable grip and doesn't slide out of your hand after a good work out like other steel dumb bells. It also prevents scratching your floor as well if you want to do bicep curls while watching TV. I'm one of those guys who want to gain some muscle and strength, but don't want to look like a profession weight lifter. The package comes with simple instructions on working out the areas of your arm. But it may be too simple for those who are just starting out, since the instructions don't tell you specifically what target areas you are focusing on. If you want specific instructions, then it will be easy to just search online.
no frills hand weights October 7, 2009 Leanora Afable I like the texture of these weights--they don't feel like they'll ever slip out of your hands. Other than that, they're just your regular 10-pound hand weights!
Awesome Weights! October 5, 2009 Christina A. Lowe (Boca Raton, FL) Love the Neoprene! These weights are easy to grip - not hard on your palms and arrived on time.
