I've used the ab-trainer for a while now and like others who have commented, I echo the notion that it is an adequate, serviceable product for ab routines. The quality is average, in that the construction is done out of hollow metal tubing. The grips and padding are nice and have not suffered from routine use since purchase. The instructions are some kind of semi-decipherable gibberish - but it is pretty self explanatory to put it together. Definitely not gym quality, but a good value for the price (especially in comparison to other products).
Pros: Suitable for home gym use, does the job, easy on the neck
Cons: Screws tend to loosen more than I'd like, stupid instructions to put together
I would recommend for normal people using at home - not for wanna-be Schwarzeneggers.

The item reached quick in time. As described item. Assembly instructions are not the best I have seen. The item itself not user friendly, it needs a lot of effort: When you are laying down, it is real hard to get your self up to crunch while using this machine. Not a smooth ex4rcise unit. Good if you are planing to raise your legs to tone your lower abs, but not good for your upper abs. I did not get the swing effect to train my abs. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU TRY ANOTHER ITEM FOR YOUR ABS.
The whole point of such items are to make life easy in what you want to achieve, and this ab trainer did not do it for me. I am 5'8" and 135 lbs male and should have had a easier way with it. Wonder what over weight individuals will achieve with this item.

As with most assembly-required products, the instructions were poor. But since this is a pretty simple equipment, you can fill in the gaps in instruction by using your common sense. It still took about 45 minutes to put together. The equipment itself is not fancy in looks or feel (normally you get what you pay for and this is a relatively inexpensive piece of equipment), but it serves its purpose in working your abs pretty well while alleviating stress to your neck as you do your crunches. I'm happy with it.
