Customer Reviews:
4 out of 5 stars Good enough, but does not fit ankles.   July 24, 2010
J. Lopez (Miami, FL United States)
I purchased these weights for physical therapy, and I am very content with them. The only problem I had is that I need them as ankle weights, but the straps are not long enough to secure them to my ankles, and I have normal looking ankles for a man, they aren't cankles by any means. I attach the weight to my foot, which works fine to do leg lifts, and it's probably easier to get on and off that way, so it isn't a problem for me. If you want to use them as ankle weights for running or some other activity where you are standing, you may want a different kind of weight, unless you have very skinny ankles.

A feature of these weights that is not mentioned in the description is that each weight contains three sandbags inside a zippered pocket, so if one pound is too much, you can remove some of the sandbags to make them lighter than a pound but still have some resistance.

In all, I think they are a good value, but I do not recommend them as ankle weights unless you can make do like I have.

Since I suffer from a stroke which left me paralyzed on the left side, the velco weights allow me to exercise without holding on to the weights.
