Amazon.com Product Description
Whether you want to reduce back stress or fatigue or stimulate your blood circulation, the Ironman Gravity 2000 inversion table makes a great household accessory. The inversion table contributes to your body's overall health by optimizing lumbar traction, thereby relieving pressure on your vertebrae discs and ligaments. And when your back starts to relax, the rest of your body follows. The table can also help with such areas as increasing body flexibility for improved athletic performance, reducing the effects of aging due to gravity, and relieving lower backaches due to sitting or standing.

The Gravity 2000 boasts a durable tubular steel frame with a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish. The backrest, meanwhile, is made of a heavy-duty nylon material that's extremely durable yet still comfortable when the table is in use. Most importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the nylon backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts up to 90 degrees. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself. The table includes three different starting inversion angles, and inverts up to 90 degrees.

Users will also appreciate the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 300 pounds; and vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers. The Gravity 2000, which folds into a compact footprint for easy storage, measures 26 by 65 by 49 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 55 pounds.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product!   July 10, 2010

After having searched around for a while I finally decided on the Ironman Gravity 2000. I was a little surprised when the box arrived because it was rather heavy. I hadn't checked the weight of the item, but it weighs 55 pounds. It took about an hour to assemble. Unlike other reviewers I had no problem putting it together, and I wonder if they may have improved the directions, because I did not find it hard to assemble. I was blown away at the quality of the table. It is solid as a rock and functions really well. One tip for anyone buying this: assemble it in the room you want to use it in. I set it up in my front room and had to take out a screw or two to break it down enough to move it into my bedroom. I struggled moving the thing around without marking up my walls. The only other thing I would mention is that it takes up a lot of room in one of my small bedrooms and my wife is not too happy about that. All-in-all I would highly recommend this unit to any one that wants to hang upside down.

I searched and searched all the inversion tables offered by Amazon.com. After reading the product descriptions and reviews, I decided this would be perfect for my husband who suffers from chronic back pain. We own an automotive repair center and my husband is regularly lifting and moving large items. I decided this would make a great Father's Day present for him. I was a little concerned about the assembly of the unit, since so many reviews mentioned it took a long time. He had it up and ready to use in 20 minutes. One minute I was upstairs emptying the dishwasher, next thing I know he was hanging upside in the bedroom.

Everyday he gets on for two 5 minute sessions. First he just hangs there perfectly straight and then he twists at his waist changing from side to side. He swears up and down that he could tell a difference after the first use. Every morning he would ask me to give him a great big bear hug to crack the bones on his back, since using the Gravity 2000 there has been no more cracks.

The only negative thing is that he states the ankle molded cushions are very uncomfortable. He tried wearing boots and sneakers but that did not seem to help, instead he just gets on with socks on. Maybe he will get use to it in time or I might be able to find some kind of foam padding that might help. The unit sits securely in place. No wobbling or concerns that it might tip over.

Solid product at a great price.

5 out of 5 stars Worth every penny   June 29, 2010

I didn't want to spend a lot of money but I wanted the most for my money. That's exactly what you will get here. This machine is very solid and very sturdy. Not owning or trying the others I certainly don't know how they would feel but this is excellent mid priced equipment. I have major back problems off and on. I can't say that this will cure you but it does seem to help ease the pressure. Don't get it as a cure, purchase this as a treatment. A very good solid table. You will not be disappointed!

5 out of 5 stars It is kind of natural to turn upside down   June 27, 2010
El principe (USA)
I am a totally healthy fruitarian, raw vegetarian, and sun lover in excellent physical shape (exercise four times a week) but I purchased this inversion table to feed additional blood to my head and hair, relax some muscles and to give a rest to some bones and internal bodily organs.

The act of hanging upside down can help to reverse the effects of gravity on the spine, leading to decompression of it.

Some animals, the evidence shows, love to invert their bodies, bats for instance to conserve energy and for protection from predators hang upside down while sleeping, parrots, roosters, monkeys, squirrels, cats, moths, all practice the bodily inversion thing as well.

I recommend this excellent nice green board inversion table that for $200 with shipping is a lot of machine for the price.

5 out of 5 stars Impressive Results!   June 21, 2010
G. A. Hughes (Iowa, USA)
I've been skeptical of inversion tables but, after coaxing from a friend, finally decided to try one. From reviews, (quality, value, results, etc.) I purchased the Ironman 2000. Set-up instructions leave a lot to be desired, (and easily could have been better written / illustrated), but, luckily, there wasn't too much to figure out and I finished in a relatively short period of time. Quality of the product is very good / sturdy, and operates easily. After a week's use I must say I am impressed with the results. I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease quite some time ago and my primary source of lower back relief has been prescribed pain medication. However, since using the inversion table, my back has considerably less stress and feels pain free. Normally I would pre-medicate when knowing I would be standing / walking for an extended period of time. But, my back felt incredibly fine during a recent 5 hour walking tour, (with a ton of stairs) and I didn't even need pain medicine afterward! Again, I'm very impressed and plan to continue using my table regularly.
