Product Description Now comes fully assembled! Under desk consideration: Our Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is best option for under desk use, with a pedal top out height of 10.5". Direct from manufacturer pricing. No middleman means no need to pay more. Now comes with Dycem anti-slip strips to place under the feet to help solve a common problem of slipping on smooth floors. The Isokinetics Deluxe Pedal Exerciser creates resistance using a nylon band, combined with gears, which tightens around a cylinder when you crank the pedals, creating an even resistance and smooth pedal rotation. Turn the resistance control knob to increase or decrease resistance. The digital readout provides workout information updated constantly. Use it as a floor pedal exerciser for leg exercises or place it on a table for arm exercises. Compared to our Standard Pedal Exerciser or Magnetic Pedal Exerciser, the Deluxe Pedal Exerciser is better suited for office. It has the lowest pedal height at top position, 10.5" from the floor, making it the best choice for using under a desk. The white color fits in with most decor. For the "smoothest" ride, see our Magnetic Pedal Exercisers.

Isokinetics Deluxe Pedal Exerciser May 1, 2010 D. Houck (PA, USA) This is a great alternative to exercising when one is unable to do so otherwise for whatever reason. I highly recommend it.
LOVE IT March 9, 2010 Music Mom I LOVE this machine! I cannot walk or do any exercise except water aroebics. This has really increased the strength in my legs. My doctor did research after I told him about it, and he is now recommending it to his patients.

I got this via fedex yesterday morning, so this is a very preliminary review. I will post an addendum in a few weeks.
First of all, it arrived ready to use as advertised. It seems to be a sturdy, well-constructed machine.
For arm exercises, I had no problem at all. I put it on a table and after using it with my arms for five minutes, I had worked up quite a sweat. I get no exercise at all. I got this in hopes of changing that.
When it came to pedaling with my feet, I encountered a problem. I couldn't turn the pedals without the machine moving. I have a tile floor, and that's not the ideal floor for this machine. I had a friend come over and we tried putting some non-skid material under it. No luck. It still moved.
I knew it would probably move around on me from reading the reviews, but I did not realize how much.
I read where some people had to put this in front of a wall or something solid. I found a place that would allow me to both pedal with my feet and also do my arm exercises. It is under a counter which separates my living room from my kitchen. After I use it with my legs, I can lift it to my counter-top and do arm exercises.
Two things I wish could be designed into this machine: (1) some kind of a handle or grip that would facilitate moving the exerciser from the floor to the table top (2) the stabilizer bars should extend further out from the body of the machine - my feet come within and inch or so of the wall when I pedal. I would feel better if there were more clearance.
I gave it four stars because five indicates "I love it". and four stars indicates "I like it". I don't "love it", but I like it a lot - but keep in mind, it's a "first impression".
Assembled Pedal Exerciser August 26, 2009 Mike Salem (Fayetteville, Arkansas) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Now that the pedal exerciser comes completely assembled, you can take it from the box to using it for exercise. No more messing with putting the pedals on the unit.
Could be better July 9, 2009 wildchair (Tucson) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this unit as an upper body exerciser, UBE, only since I'm a paraplegic and am unable to use it for leg exercise. Overall I had higher expectations for this unit. The biggest disappointment for me was it is not bidirectional so the pedals only move in one direction. The resistance levels seem ok and are easy to adjust but the unit does make more noise then I would have expected in use. On a table or the floor the unit is pretty stable but the feet aren't attached with anything, just slide onto the tubes, so they can come off. I've also had the peddles come unscrewed and fall off during use, though they are pretty easy to put back on. If I had it to do over I would not purchase this unit.
