Product Description Revolutionary new way to shape and tone your arms, shoulders and chest in just 6 minutes a day.
Amazon.com Product Description Shape and tone your entire upper body in just six minutes per day with the Shake Weight dumbbell. Designed specifically for women, the Shake Weight dumbbell is based on a completely new workout technology called Dynamic Inertia, which ignites the muscles in your arm, shoulders, and chest. As you hold the Shake Weight, it pulsates back and forth, challenging your muscles while you hold it steady. Scientific studies indicate that the Shake Weight increases your upper body muscle activity by more than 300 percent compared with traditional weights. It's the fast, easy, effective way to work out your upper body. Plus, it fits easily inside a suitcase or shoulder bag, so you can bring it along to the hotel, the office, or anywhere else you need a quick workout. The Shake Weight comes with an upper body toning DVD.

Shake Weight Dumbbell July 30, 2010 Carol White (USA) I figured it was a gimmick when I ordered it, but I really like it.
It definitely does work! I like that you can see and feel it working. It doesn't take much time to do the workout, so I don't talk myself out it. In just 3 weeks I can really see a difference in my arms.
A quality product... But the DVD is mediocre. July 28, 2010 Stacey Rosenthal (ho-ho-kus, NJ United States) First of all, I would like to address those that say you can do the same thing with household objects and dumbells. No, you really can't. The whole dynamic inertia thing may sound phony, but the movements of the weight really seem to help me more than use of dumbells; I feel a lot more muscular contraction going on which seems like a great way to build muscle and get lesser-used muscles going.
The shake weight itself gets a 5 for me, but the DVD gets a 2 or 3.
The reason I wasn't such a fan of the DVD was the fact that there was not a lot of explanation about the moves and frankly, it doesn't look like the instructor is even being consistent (During the shoulder section, she changes her arm position, then when they cut to the side view it is back where it was supposed to be.) My main gripe, however, is that I was hoping for MORE from this DVD and MORE from the makers of Shake Weight. Maybe another instructional with more advanced moves or just another video to work out to? more tips? When looking at the website, there were NO resources available. They clearly don't care what you do once you order it.
So all in all, this is a great product. I am feeling the results and my arms look a little tighter after just a week of daily use. If you are looking for a product which goes above and beyond to keep users motivated; beware. The Shake Weight is great but the makers of this product don't provide much in additions to a bare-bones dvd... Unless you want to buy a $10 timer.
You'd be better off shaking a can of fruit... July 27, 2010 tj231 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This thing is complete junk. Unless you're virtually incapacitated you won't get any resistance from it. It weighs literally a pound at the most. It makes a God-awful annoying noise that you never hear on the infomercial.
Unless your upper body is so atrophied that you'd have a hard time picking up a salt shaker, you're probably going to need a bit more resistance. And if you are going to waste your money on this thing, I'd suggest you pick a good pair of ear plugs too!
GOOD July 26, 2010 Jody L. Wade (USA) I was a little worried when I first opened the package. It was really light and it felt really awkward! I messed around with it for a little while and I was not very impressed. But then I put in the dvd that comes with it. WOW! after the 6 minutes I could feel the tightness in my shoulders. I'm not all that big into body building or anything, but I do go to the gym about 3-4 times a week and I do the arm weights. This work out is a really good one for only doing it for 6 mins. It impressed me! But it is going to feel weird in your hands for the first little bit. But try the dvd before giving up on it. You may be surprised!
Great Workout!!!! July 25, 2010 Fallurose (Las Vegas, NV) You Can Really Feel This Working You Arms. Only Thing Is I Wish That I Could Do It Everyday, Like I'm Suppose Too.
